Why is Boundary Scan Important?

Boundary Scan is a very powerful tool. Given power, ground and Tap port signals, a board with Boundary Scan can realize high fault coverage, low fixture and development costs, and have the capability of ISP and device programming. Boundary Scan test can be used on its own or in conjunction with ICT, Functional, MDA, Flying Probe, X-Ray and AOI test to maximize test coverage.
